I got a life coach! Weekly YouTube Links.

A couple months back I put a post on Facebook asking if anyone had worked with a life coach. It started some interesting conversations. I had really been feeling stuck and like I needed some guidance moving to the next stage of my life. I got a few recommendations but only reached out to one person and never heard back.

Then a few weeks ago I joined a facebook group for men with ADHD. I was simply looking for some support from people who have similar struggles as me. It has been really amazing to learn more about this thing that has felt like a major handicap my entire life. I can’t recall the exact circumstance but I think we had both commented in a post and he had mentioned that he had used to be a contractor and totally burnt out and he doesn’t do it anymore. This intrigued me. A few other things he said I really related to as well.

I just casually said to him that we should chat sometime because it sounds like I’m exactly where he was before he quit construction. He sent me a link to his online calendar to schedule an appointment to talk. All of a sudden I’m like oh this guy is some sort of legit!

Little did I know that what he does for a living now is help people find their purpose in life as a life coach. He has a few other things he does too but this seems like his major passion. He shut down a very successful construction company to focus on health and wellness.

So I had a video chat with him on Zoom this past Tuesday. It was supposed to be a one hour appointment. We talked for three hours! He just kept blowing my mind. We are so similar in so many ways it is unbelievable. So I took a leap of faith and signed up with him.

I’m feel a whole bunch of different emotions about this. If you’ve been following along at all the last few months then you won’t find this as a shock. I am really going to put a lot of energy into phasing out of construction and into my new career. The scary thing is that I don’t have the next thing mapped out yet. That is hopefully what the life coach will be able to help me narrow down.

I have really been enjoying the time off from my construction job. I’ve made a lot of videos for the Borsellino Carpentry YouTube channel, started a second YouTube channel, started a podcast, started writing a book and blog and more. These new “hobbies” are fulfilling in a whole new way compared to my carpentry stuff. The hard part is going to be figuring out how to turn this into an income generating endeavor.

I have ideas in the works, but they are all just ideas right now. I might have mentioned it in last week’s blog about making little commercial type videos for local businesses. Basically I go in with my cameras and mics and get some video of their business and they can talk about it. Then I would edit them to short clips depending on what they want to use it for. 30 second shorties for Instagram. Maybe a little longer for Facebook or other platforms.

Let me know what you think or if you have any ideas. I’m trying to put my feelers out there to see where this could go. I really enjoy filming and editing videos and that’s what has really been my main focus and passion over the last few months, so why not try to turn it into my career?! It’s worth a shot. We only have one life after all!

The Borsellino Carpentry YouTube channel hit 900 subscribers! Once it hits 1,000 subscribers I can monetize it, which means I can have ads which will generate income. My personal channel has 30 subscribers and I’m really liking the direction I’ve been going. This week I did a really cool 1 minute Sunrise Meditation video. On that channel I’m still trying to figure out the direction it’s going but it all started with a video titled “Start A New Life” back on May 22. So I’m sharing some of the thing’s I’m doing along the way including some books, meditations, a tony robbins challenge so so far. I am also planning to do videos talking about the life coaching and some other stuff that it’s just easier to talk about in a video than to type out! So if you haven’t already, subscribe to my personal channel and click the notification bell so you can get notified when I release new videos. And if you haven’t subscribed to my email list, you can fill out the form at the bottom of the page for all my updates across the board with all my endeavors.

Thanks for reading!
